Off to ITE HCMC in Vietnam

I will eat noodle soup. I will eat all the noodle soup there is in Vietnam. That is my plan.

No, but seriously, I'm going to attend the largest and most established travel exhibition in Vietnam and the Mekong region, ITE HCMC, for the first time. It will actually also be my first time ever in Vietnam, so I am really looking forward to the adventure!

I will be flying out tomorrow evening first to Singapore, and then from there onwards to Ho Chi Minh City with Vietnam Airlines. I will first spend a few days in Ho Chi Minh City and then go to Phan Thiet for some pretty beaches and palm trees.

Last year ITE HCMC attracted 25,623 visitors across three days: 11,169 trade visitors and 14,454 public visitors – so it will be a huge event, and I am so honored to be invited. The International Travel Expo in Ho Chi Minh City will be back for its 12th edition from September 8th to 10th. The expo takes place at Saigon Exhibition & Convention Center, which is the prime platform for both local and international companies to collaborate and discuss inbound and outbound tourism.

ITE HCMC is designed to promote not only the tourism market within the Mekong region but also major tourist destinations around the world. And I believe this is the first time the exhibition has decided to invite international travel bloggers to take part!

Besides the conference and networking, we have some great cocktail evenings and gala dinners and other events during the week. You all know my love for rooftop bars, so I could not be more excited for an evening at the Hôtel Des Arts Saigon and another one at Rex Hotel Saigon.

And what's more, I get to stay at the fabulous Le Méridien Saigon during my time in Ho Chi Minh City.

And as mentioned above, after a few days in the busy city, I jump onto a bus and head out on our post tour to Phan Thiet. In Phan Thiet I get to enjoy the beach, see the Sand Dunes at sunrise, visit the Fairy Spring and a few exciting hotels in the area.

The week will be busy, but I will do my best to blog from the trip. Make sure to follow the adventure on Instagram & the new exciting feature, Instagram Stories, which I am using instead of Snapchat!

itehcmc_logoI was invited to Vietnam by ITE HCMC (The Mekong's largest travel event) through Nordic Travel Bloggers Collective, but the opinions are always my own. Follow our journey in Vietnam on social media with #TBEVietnam
