Good morning Vietnam!
Woop wooop! I have finally arrived to Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam! I am here with a few other travel bloggers and a lot of media to attend ITE HCMC, the major travel expo in the Mekong region. You can read more about it from my previous blog post. Yesterday, I flew from Helsinki to Singapore with Finnair, and from there onwards to Ho Chi Minh City with Vietnam Airlines – which for now is my final destination. I have to also note already – Vietnam Airlines was the best economy flight experience I've yet ever had. The service was so kind and professional, the food was super yummy and spicy, and the seats on this A321 were unusually comfortable. I will write a review of the flight experience later!
Today, my plan is to go explore the exciting city of Saigon in a couple of hours. But for now I am just staring at the world go by from me hotel room on the 20th floor of the out-of-this-world-fabulous Le Méridien Saigon. I think I like it here so much that it's going to be hard not to just stay in the room... Luckily the conference has even organised each one of us our own personal assistants (yes, you read it right), to help us with our busy week.
I started my morning with a little session at the gym and a swim by the wonderful outdoor pool. I am a bit tired after the long trip and no sleep, but I wanted to get up early in order to get some work done before hitting the town in the afternoon for some sightseeing. Later today we also have a gala dinner and a rooftop cocktail reception.Oh, and because breakfast is the most important event of the day – let me start with some breakfast photos. Also, the fruit in Asia is so sweet and fresh, I always start my days with huge fruit platters in this part of the globe. I also got to enjoy some pho soup and a fresh omelette. Le Méridien gets full noms points! But now I'm off to get some other work things done! You can follow the adventure here in Vietnam live through Instagram Stories!
I was invited to Vietnam by ITE HCMC (The Mekong's largest travel event) through Nordic Travel Bloggers Collective, but the opinions are always my own. Follow our journey in Vietnam on social media with #TBEVietnam
